Setup a POP3 / IMAP email account on an Android

In the Application list, tap “Settings”, then tap “Add account” > “Email”.

Enter your email address and password and tap “Next”.

Choose the type of email account you will be using.
- POP3 – POP3 will download the emails from the server and store them on your phone.
- IMAP – IMAP will store the emails on the server and show a cached copy on your phone.

Incoming Server Settings
- Incoming Server: web10**.dataplugs.com (your current hosting server name)
- Username: Full email address
- Password: Email account password
- IMAP Port: 993 (SSL)
POP3 Port: 995 (SSL) - Security type: SSL/TLS*
*If select “SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)”, port will change to 993 / 995 - IMAP path prefix: INBOX

Outgoing Server Settings
- Outgoing server: web10**.dataplugs.com (your current hosting server name)
- Username: Full email address
- Password: Email account password
- SMTP Port: 465
- Security type: SSL/TLS
*If select “SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates)”, port will change to 465 - Require signin: Check this as you will need to authenticate with the SMTP server.

Tap “Next”.

Account OptionsName the account, then tap “Next” and “Done”.
- Email Checking Frequency – Set how often you would like your device to check for new emails.
Note: The more often you check your email the more drain it will cause on your battery.
- Send email from this account by default – Check this option if this will be your default email address
- Notify me when email arrives – Leave this checked if you would like to be notified of new email messages.
- Email Checking Frequency – Set how often you would like your device to check for new emails.

If you have multiple email accounts on the same device, it will be easy to manage if you name the account.
